Fees rebates and policies

Do I Need a Referral?

No referral is needed to access our services. However, if you obtain a referral and Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates.

Consultation Fees

Pia is a Clinical and Health Psychologist offering services to:

  • Medicare clients (with or without a Mental Health Care Plan)

  • Self- and plan-managed NDIS participants

  • Private health insurance holders

  • Defence personnel via BUPA

Session Fees:

  • Initial Consultation (50 minutes): $280

  • Ongoing Therapy Session (50 minutes): $265

All fees are payable in full at the time of your appointment. As a private billing practice, our services do attract an out-of-pocket cost.

Medicare Rebates

If eligible, you can claim a $141.85 Medicare rebate per standard session. After the rebate, the out-of-pocket fee is:

  • Initial Consultation: $138.15
  • Standard Session: $123.15

Note: Medicare rebates are only processed after full payment is made. They are not available for late cancellations, non-attendance, or assessments.

Assessment Fees

We provide ADHD and Autism assessments for older adolescents and adults.
Assessment fees vary depending on the type and scope — these will be discussed during your initial consultation.

Assessments are not typically eligible for Medicare rebates and must be privately funded.

NDIS Participants

We welcome both self- and plan-managed NDIS clients. Standard fees apply, and a receipt is issued for claiming reimbursement from your plan manager.
Please note: we do not accept NDIA-managed referrals at this time.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health cover, you may be able to claim a rebate for psychological services. We will provide a receipt you can submit to your health fund.
Please check with your insurer regarding your level of cover, as rebates vary across funds and policies.

We do not process private health claims directly.

Supervision Fees

Pia is a board-approved supervisor for:

  • Health Psychologists
  • Clinical Psychologists
  • General Psychologists
  • Provisional Psychologists (4+2 and 5+1 pathways)

Please contact us directly for supervision rates and availability.

Letters and Reports

Brief progress letters to your GP (as required under Medicare) are included in your care.
Other letters and reports requested outside of sessions will incur a fee, charged in 15-minute increments based on time taken.

We do not provide medico-legal reports.

Our Clinic Policies

Payment & Admin

  • Payment is processed during your consultation via your stored payment details.
  • Our clinic is fully paperless — all forms and communication are provided electronically.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens. However, short-notice cancellations impact our ability to support all clients.

If you need to cancel or reschedule:

  • More than 2 business days’ (48 hours) notice: No charge
  • Less than 2 business days’ (48 hours) notice: 50% of the session fee applies
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-show: Full session fee applies

Cancellation periods do not include weekends.

These policies apply to all clients, including Medicare and NDIS participants, and are outlined in your consent form.

    How to Cancel or Reschedule

    • Log into the client portal to manage appointments and invoices

    Medicare Session Limits

Under the Australian Government’s Better Access Initiative, eligible clients may receive rebates for up to:

    • 10 individual sessions per calendar year (Jan 1–Dec 31)

Doctors can only refer for a limited number of sessions at a time. You’ll need to return to your GP for a review after the first 6 sessions.
